Janet Llavina began her venture into the film industry as an actress in 2006. In 2009, wanting to learn more about the behind the scenes work done in films, she volunteered to be a part of the Boston International Film Festival judge and coordinating panel. It was during this time where she first decided to do production work as the Associate Producer for the Bilingual Film "Lyrics of My Life" which was ultimately shown at the Cannes Film Festival, also appearing in the film as a Supporting Actress. She was also a Supporting Actress in the 2010 BIFF selected short "Karma's Choice" and was credited as an Associate Producer as well. Discovering that she has a keen eye for talent, she began to part take in the casting process as both a coordinator and casting director and has worked on set as an acting coach. Having studied in NY and Boston, she has appeared in several Feature and Short films as both a Lead and Supporting Actress. She has worked with several of New England's well known and award winning Indie Film Makers and has been credited as a Production Manager, Associate Producer, Casting Director, on set acting coach and Set Designer. After taking some time off to focus on her family and personal life, she has now helped develop her own film company, Neo Phoenix Studios, as an Executive Producer, Director and Casting Director. Janet hopes to return to acting while continuing to grow with the Company.
