Melissa Hoppe is a creative producer, writer, and storyteller who earned her MFA from the AFI Conservatory. She wrote, developed, and produced the student Emmy and student Academy Award winning film, Stealth, a story about a brave, transgender eleven-year-old. Melissa was featured on the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards show for her work and took home the Bricker Humanitarian Award from the Television Academy at the College Television Awards ceremony. She enjoys creating inspirational content that opens minds and instigates discussion between family members of different generations. She produced and directed a hit American Girl film about a twelve-year-old in the 1970s who steps out of the norm at her school talent show to perform basketball dribbling and speak of becoming the first female president. And the Tiara Goes To has over ten million views on American Girl's channel. Melissa was also Supervising Video Producer for Kate Hudson's Fabletics clothing line and Showrunner of a webseries about young adults growing up in a supernatural world complete with vampires, shapeshifters, and werewolves. Additionally, she has produced a multitude of independent films, social media advertising, and branded narrative content and has spoken to crowds at numerous film festivals including TIFF Kids, AFI Fest, and Palm Springs International ShortFest. Melissa also has corporate finance and production finance experience at large companies dealing with budgeting, expense management, and analyzing the P&L as well as a background in the foundations of marketing.
