The Del-Aires were a groovy early 60's surf garage rock group from New Jersey. The band members were: lead singer/guitarist Ronnie Linares, bassist Gary Robert Jones, guitarist/saxophonist/keyboardist Bobby Osborne, and drummer John Becker. Linares started a band called the Treble Tones in 1957 in Paterson, New Jersey. The Treble Tones recorded one single before subsequently breaking up. Linares then formed the Del-Aires. The group's debut single was "So Far So Long/Someplace," which they recorded for the tiny local label Block Records (a guy named Archie Block was their manager). The Del-Aires performed at both the Peppermint Lounge and Big Daddy's in New York. Moreover, they were the house band at the Atlantis Club in Coney Island around 1962 and did gigs at the Angel Lounge in Lodi, New Jersey. The Del-Aires appear as themselves and perform six songs in the wonderfully wretched low-budget camp cult favorite "The Horror of Party Beach." Following their appearance in this film the Del-Aires recorded a few more singles on the Coral Records label before splitting up in early 1964. Band members Ronnie Linares and Bobby Osborne still play together in Bonita Springs, Florida.
