Michael McQuary is a character actor of the stage and screen. He posses an uncanny ability to physically transform into a who's-who of Hollywood Golden Age Movie Stars. From Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff, to Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, His recent cinematic performances have garnered him the moniker of "The Man of 1001 Faces", a title which is also the name of a new documentary about him. Michael has moved into the independent film scene in Kansas City, focusing in on broadening his cinematic profile, This move comes after a much celebrated career in New York City's stage theatre circuits. With the starring roles in the award-winning motion pictures; 'Corvalo' (Mile Deep Productions), 'Keeper and Love Shadow'(Bill's Eye Cinema), and 'Bleed Like Us' (Gordon Asante), 'Connections', (Cooper Square Productions/Art in the Loop, and two documentaries that reflect his life on and off stage and screen; 'Portrait of an Artist'(Cooper Square Productions), and the aforementioned 'Man of 1001 Faces' (Taishi Studios), Michael McQuary is a rising star, and one to watch in 2020. Prior to concentrating on motion picture and television performances,Michael has actively concentrated on solo work, and has performed in numerous Manhattan clubs and cabarets. His various one-man shows have played the famous West Village cabarets, Eighty-eights, the Duplex, the Trocadero, and in the cabaret space in the Cooper Square Theatre, with his show, 'Astonishing'. Michael premiered his show; 'The Secret Power of Fu Manchu', at Cooper Square Theatre, where he alternated the late-night spot with drag stars, Ru Paul and Mona Foote. Other critically acclaimed stage performances include 'Arlecchino's Unlucky Heart', 'Royal Hunt of the Sun', 'Aristophanes' Peace', as well as the world premieres of 'Spreadin' It', 'The Secret Power of Fu Manchu', 'Gypsies'. and 'En Attendant Oiseau'. When not acting or performing, Michael is a visual artist, specializing in rapidly drawn portraits known as "Your Essence in Seconds." Michael's "Power Sign" jewelry and wall art is avidly collected and can be seen on walls, around wrists, necks and on fingers around the world
