Helen Trencher

Based out of Denver, CO, Helen Trencher is best known for an eclectic mix of roles: a madam in "The Creep Behind the Camera"; a zombie apocalypse survivor in "The Locals"; and an aging bank robber in "Thursday Night Special." She is represented in the Colorado, New Mexico, and Atlanta/SE markets. Born and raised in New Jersey, Helen discovered her love of acting, performing, quirky voice-over characters, and teaching at the tender age of 10. With both a Bachelors and Masters in Education, she initially focused these energies as a corporate trainer in New York City. Upon relocating to the Mile High City of Denver, CO, in 1998, Helen rediscovered her creative spirit. In addition to acting, Helen loves to hit things: she plays a variety hand drums and other percussion instruments, such as the Middle Eastern doumbek, the African djembe, and the Latin conga. Since 2017, Helen has played the caixa, the Brazilian snare drum, with the Boulder Samba School. Since 2007, Helen has also toured with a one-woman show on the early years of Golda Meir (a founding mother of the State of Israel and Prime Minister from 1969 - 1974), which she researched, wrote, and now performs. Using humor, her life experience, and a bit of drumming, Helen also teaches, through public speaking and workshops, strategies on managing resistance. Helen's personal mission is to express the whole of who she throughout all her creative and educational pursuits. Her movement is to inspire others to release resistance and to pivot to what they truly desire... And to have fun, to live most vibrantly, and create joy while doing while doing so!
