Yong Suk, Lee (Alan Lee) is Chief Creative Officer and TV drama Director of the Korean independent drama production called "MongJakSo". Before he moved to "MongJakSo" he was the executive producer, and the director at SBS drama production department in Seoul, Korea. He had developed and produced 'Drama Special' such as "Hyena (2020), "VIP (2019)", "While You Are Sleeping (2017)", "Reunited Worlds (2017)" and "Saimdang: Light's Diary (2016)" that were aired at prime time on Wednesday and Thursday night. He also produced 'Saturday Night drama Series' such as "Band of Sisters (2017)" and "Perfect Bride (2017)". Before that, he was the Drama planning/development director on the Drama Planning/Development Team at SBS. Several special seasonal dramas had been produced by him including 'One Fine Day in October (2013)' and 'Stranger (2013)'. At the same time, he was the CEO of 'Story Works', a division company of SBS. The main goals of 'Story Works' were to find, educate, and support the new writers to begin their career. Yong Suk began his career as a drama producer and a director in 1993 at SBS. Since then he has produced and directed various TV shows including sitcoms, mini-series dramas, daily soap operas, and Korean historical dramas. One of his highly acclaimed TV shows he directed was "Iljimae (2008)", a historical romance and action genre drama, which story is revolved around the Robin Hood-like thief during the Chosun Dynasty. His other show 'The Village, Achiara's Secret', was aired in 2015 on SBS, was the first original series produced by 'Story Works(now Studio S, the drama production studio of SBS). It was mystery thriller drama, which was a challenging genre many years ago in Korean drama industry. His latest show is 'Haechi', which story is about four very different people come together to help Prince Lee Geum claim the throne and reform the Saheonbu, District Attorney's Office of Chosun Dynasty. Haechi was aired on SBS, Korea in 2019, and was aired on NHK, Japan in 2021. Beside his producing and directing job, he is an active learner and lecturer of a couple of universities (including Korea University/Kyungsung university) in Korea.
