* Vernon M. Turner was born January 6th 1967, in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. He moved to Staten Island New York in 1973. * Vernon attended Curtis High School (1983-1986) where he all-stared in football and track. * He received a full athletic scholarship to Carson-Newman College from 1986-1989 where I was named honorable mention All-American in football. Carson-Newman went to the National title game 4 out of 4 years Turner was there, and won it 3 times. * Turner played at the professional ranks for 8 years (Buffalo Bills, L.A. Rams, Detroit Lions Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Frankfurt Galaxy (in Germany) and Scottish Claymores (in Scotland). * Vernon was part of the 1990 Buffalo Bills super bowl team. He was honored several times with the NFL special team Player Of The Week award. * In 1994, Turner also had the good fortune in being the first person ever to return a punt for a touchdown in Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19 year history. * Vernon also travels nationwide, sharing his life experiences by way of inspirational speaking for various programs, schools and businesses. He also enjoys training athletes for their upcoming seasons. * In 2012, Vernon wrote and published his autobiography titled, The Next Level: A Game I Had To Play! His powerful and inspiring story is currently being reincarnated into a feature film.
