Gisberg Bermúdez is a vibrant, passionate, human being and award winning film director. He originally hails from Venezuela where his earliest memories of seeing cinema took place regularly as cherished family outings. He recognised the impact and resonance of storytelling at a very young age. His family relocated to Houston, Texas when he was a teenager. This transition opened whole new domains of expression for him. It was in Houston where Bermúdez became immersed in radio, local television and theatre. He went on to study and graduate with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston and later completed studies at the Los Angeles Film School in Directing and Producing. Bermúdez has worked extensively in film and theatre in the United States, Mexico, Venezuela, and Europe. Bermúdez is best known for the critically-acclaimed, independent feature film, The Whistler: Origins, which sky-rocketed to number one in Venezuela, sold out for weeks, and garnered him a Venezuelan Press Award for Best Film. The film went on to receive multiple accolades for Cinematography, Screenwriting, Makeup, and Casting and took home the Best Ibero-American Film from Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre Festival. Bermúdez now lives between Madrid and Los Angeles.
