Silvia Olmedo PhD is a well-known psychologist born in Madrid based out between Mexico City and Los Angeles. She hosts two top-rated TV shows on Telehit and is also a published book author. With a masters degree in sexology, she is dedicated to research in the field of cognitive behavioral psychology. Silvia is an expert in mental health education and sexual health. She has worked in countries such as Spain, UK, USA, Holland, Australia, and Mexico. Curently, she leads two television shows in Telehit. She also collaborates in the shows Mojoe, Miembros al Aire and Matutino Express. Silvia Olmedo is a lecturer, member of the editorial board of Women's Health, she writes in Notas para tí and works with NGOs such as Mexico Vivo for education and HIV prevention and she is part of the steering committee of Vive Consciente where she collaborate by lecturing on prevention of HPV. In 2008 she hosts her first psychology show "Cuentamelove" addressing all sorts of topics from self-esteem to suicide, pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. In March 2009, Silvia published a book focusing on psychology, called Pregúntale a Silvia... Los Secretos de Eva (Ask Silvia ...about eve's secrets). The book sold over 35 thousand copies, and it is now in its fourth edition. On November 16, 2009 she is awarded by the Chamber of Commerce Women of Mexico for the informative work in the area of psychology in Mexico. In November of 2010 she is also awarded by the City of Los Angeles CA for Freedom Awards and One Love Foundation, in the categories of most popular program presenter Cuentamelove and most popular news programs. Los misterios del amor y el sexo (The mysteries of love and sex), is the title of the second book written by Silvia Olmedo and was completed in September 2010. Los misterios del amor y el sexo was recently presented in the U.S at LéaLA. The book has already sold over 30,000 copies.
