Wayne Virgo

Wayne Virgo was born on 9th December at Southmead Hospital situated in Bristol and grew up in the small town of Yate 11miles northeast from Bristol with his parents and siblings. Wayne's first acting experience was at the age of 13 when he attended an Amateur Dramatics Group called Helen O'Grady. Due to this initial experience, acting then developed into a hobby throughout his school years whilst working part time jobs. He then went on to attend Filton Colleges S.W.A.D.A (South West Academy of Dramatic Arts), where he studied performing arts for 2 years resulting in a National Diploma. Just before leaving college, Producer Christian Martin and Director Simon Pearce ran a workshop during his college course. Wayne auditioned and was fortunate enough to receive a call to play the lead in his first feature-film, Shank; he later went on to star in the movie Release starring alongside Daniel Brocklebank. Over the years, Wayne has developed and grown as an actor, as he received an opportunity to play the lead again in the sequel to Shank, Cal. In early 2014, he landed a role in the movie Beneath the Skin where he played the character Sam, showing his diversity and desire for acting as it was his first role using an accent other than Bristolian - the role of Sam required him to have a Canadian accent.
