Andrey Shirman

Andrey Shirman, better known as DJ Smash is a Russian DJ and music producer. Shirman was born in Perm in the family of musicians. His mother is a choirmaster and father is a musician. He studied at the children's music school, but did not finish it. At the age of 12 he began to write his own tracks on the computer, at the age of 16 he created the composition "Between Heaven and Earth". At the age of 18, he moved to Moscow. For three years Andrey worked as an arranger in one of the capital studios. In 2005 he became a resident of the fashionable Moscow club Zima Project, where he played remixes for Russian-language songs. In 2006, DJ Smash was awarded the Night Life Awards as the best DJ, thus becoming the youngest winner in the history of this award (he was 23 years old then).
