With a BA in Communication Studies from the University of Málaga, he has had links to the world of international television since 2000. In 2006 he directed his first feature documentary: La Aldea Perdida, which premiered at the IDFA of Ámsterdam and was recognized as one of the sixteen best debuts films made in the world. In the Official Selection of over fifteen festivals throughout the world, it earned the First Prize of the Jury at Documenta Madrid 2007, and represented Spain at the First Spain-China Documentary Film Conference held in Beijing and Shanghái. In 2009 he released his second film: Hombres de Sal, at Documenta Madrid, where it won the Second Prize of the Jury, and award followed by the RTVA Award for the Best Andalusian Documentary of the Year at the Muestra Cinematográfica del Atlántico, First Prize of the Jury at the International Short Film Festival of Almería, its selection to be the Opening Film for the Mediteran Film Festival (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and to represent Spain at the 2010 Europe Day celebrations in Porto and Lisbon. In 2011 he premiered his third documentary in the Competitive Section of Documenta Madrid: El Pésimo Actor Mexicano, and its selection to be the Commemorative Film in the 25th Anniversary of the Cervantes Theatre. His fourth work: La Aldea Perdida. El Lado Oscuro, premiered at the 40th Huesca International Film Festival in 2012, where won the Special Jury Prize. Followed by the Jury First Prize at the 44th Muestra Cinematográfica del Atlántico. And the International Premier at 20th Canadian International Film Festival. HOT DOCS 2013. His fifth work: Proyecto Mágico, Official Opening Film at 45th Muestra Cinematográfica del Atlántico in 2012 and won the Specia Jury Prize at 41th Huesca International Film Festival.
