Urs Brunner is a Swiss film producer and entrepreneur. His film production company 'Angel & Bear Productions' is based in Bangkok, Thailand, with offices in Los Angeles and London, with a focus on developing and producing feature films and television for international audiences. In 2008, he produced and financed his first feature film, 'Bitter/Sweet' starring James Brolin, Kip Pardue, and some of Thailand's top actors and actresses. He went on to act as Executive Producer for 'Hellgate', starring William Hurt and Cary Elwes, Thai romance drama "SHE: Their Love Story", US horror/thriller "Devil May Call" and Thai ghost comedy "Possessed". Urs was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, and came to Thailand as part of a student exchange program with the University of Zurich. He spent one year in Thailand conducting research for his Masters thesis on Thai Security policy after the Vietnam War. He also spent a year in Egypt studying Middle-Eastern History and Arabic language and has a lifelong passion for the Arts and film, receiving a Masters degree in History and European Literature. Shortly after his studies, he began his career in Zurich with Nomura Bank Switzerland as a securities broker and financial analyst. After leaving Nomura Bank, he relocated to Bangkok, eventually setting up the Boncafe (Thailand) group of companies, Thailand's leading fresh gourmet fresh gourmet coffee manufacturer and distributor, which he runs in addition to Angel & Bear Productions. Angel and Bear Productions has a number of projects in development at all times across all mediums of entertainment including Feature Films, TV and publishing.
