Andrew Pieter Faure was raised in Cape Town, South Africa, where he first got into film writing and production at a really young age after discovering how the magic of film was created. Through his teen years, at Rondebosch Boys' High School, he developed his skills through continued writing but also acting and directing. After taking off a year to travel around the world, he completed a degree in marketing while also having his first starring movie role in the film Slavery of Love (1999), followed a year later by his role in Final Solution (2001). After attaining his first degree Faure attended AFDA Film School, where he completed an honors degree in Film Production and Writing. In 2013 he wrote Jayson Bend: Queen and Country (2015), directed by Matt Carter, initially as a spoof TV pilot. But it was eventually distributed as a film in its own right. A year later he became executive producer of One by One (2014), the last film starring Rik Mayall before the actor died. In 2015 Faure wrote horror/thriller Westwood Murders (2015) before going into a creation and development phase for a few years. During that time he developed a TV Series and Novel called "Fae" (currently being rewritten as a feature film trilogy), as well as a number of feature film concepts crossing a variety of genres. In 2019 he once again teamed up with director Matt Carter for the film In from the Side. To date, Faure he has written or produced films within a number of different genres as well as the occasional acting role. He has also developed and written documentaries and worked with some of the world's biggest stars, models and musicians to produce short-form content such as music videos, promos and commercials for big international brands. In 2020, during the Corona Virus pandemic, he focused his attention on developing and writing original feature film scripts.
