Andreas Baum studied the law in Göttingen/Germany and is working as a television-journalist, writer, director and producer for ZDF, ZDFinfo, ARTE, 3 sat, ARD, MDR and others since 1987. He acted as a child in the movie "Lausbubenstreiche". He is the founder and owner of the production company "EXIT Film- und Fernsehproduktion" and is working for investigative televisions programs such as "Frontal 21" (ZDF), "WISO" (ZDF) or "Umschau" (MDR) as well as he is writing, directing and producing documentaries up to 90 minutes running time like for ZDFzoom, ARTE, ZDFinfo, 3sat or "Umschau Extra" (MDR/ARD). For his international ZDF/ARTE-documentary "The Lot of Fun: Where the movies learned to laugh" he won 2015 as writer/director/producer the "Gold World Medal" at the New York Festivals "Worlds Best Television and Films 2015".
