Richard has made films since he was a young boy growing up in Seattle, Washington--submitting to festivals, attending the filmmaking classes, and working on any film project he could. He attended Washington State University and the Edward R Murrow School of Broadcasting and saw the benefits of digital production early on. Opportunities brought Richard to Dallas, Texas where he started his production company Crooked Path Films. The company specializes in turnkey web/tv spots, corporate productions, and other works and has won several awards including Telly and Communicator awards. Though Richard primarily focuses on his production company work, he has become a well sought-after cinematographer, editor, and colorist for feature films. His work on films like The Key, Courage, Normal Behavior, and Blood Sombrero has garnered praise for cinematography and color.
