Kevan Anthony Cameron, a.k.a. Scruffmouth, is a performer, creator,and and poet based in North America. He is a full member of the Association for Canadian Television and Radio Actors (ACTRA) as well as its autonomous affiliate, the Union of BC Performers. Scruffmouth is an international spoken word artist and Pan African scholar. Cameron studied philosophy and history at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia and played soccer at the collegiate, international and professional levels before retiring to coaching and writing. Kevan Anthony Cameron is co-editor of the anthology The Great Black North: Contemporary African Canadian Poetry. Kevan Anthony Cameron graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2003 (BGS '03, CLA '03) after playing four years on the Men's Varsity Soccer team from 1997 through 2000 where he earned All-American Honours and was given the prestigious Honourary Captain's Award. Cameron is an alumni of the Canadian Men's National Team as well as Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club. Kevan Cameron is a full member of UBCP/ACTRA and has appeared in new media, commercials, print, and cinema, and television as a spoken word poet, soccer player, or just as himself. He lives in Canada and is available for professional engagements in both domestic and foreign markets.
