Jason has been a performer since the age of six. After participating in his first school play, he dove into productions at local theatres and often got leading roles. For most of his younger days, he was cast as the hero-type until stepping away from performance for a while as other activities overtook his interest in junior high school. He returned to the stage, and began to sidestep onto screen in high school, as he joined a teen theatre troupe that also participated in film. During college, he took to live improv performance in the street cast of a Renaissance Faire, also functioning as Guild Fight Coordinator and Parade Acrobat. He declined to return to the Faire to change places to behind the scenes, changing his academic focus to media production and directing. After attaining his Bachelor's degree, he decided to put his skills to use by making his first film, which was inspired by a short film he discovered during his college days that he determined that he could surpass. Shortly after wrapping filming, he took his first job in the television business. Since then, he has been moving around the U.S. from the Midwest to the Far North to New England to SoCal, handling nearly every aspect of the television business at one time or another. During that time, he has published four books and made several other films, which have included the likes of Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton, and Lloyd Kaufman. He has also participated in documentaries featuring Stan Lee and Bill Nye. He made a living producing full-length television programs airing on several cable networks, such as CNBC, FOX Sports, and Velocity before turning to producing the longest-running and most-award-winning program produced in the Orlando metro. He is now a Film School Professor. Jason has joined the ranks of the television elite by winning an Emmy and is an active judge for the Academy, determining future Emmy winners.
