Sean Daniel Bauer is an award winning filmmaker born & based in Southern California. His passion for film stemmed from an early age, cutting his teeth writing, directing & editing dozens of digital short films with high school friends. In 2003, Bauer attended New York Film Academy's 1-Year Filmmaking program where he found his niche in post production editing. He began a Los Angeles based career as an editor where he worked on wide variety of projects, including; feature films, documentaries & television shows. In 2007, Bauer began an unique screenplay adaptation like no other, based on a True Story novel, Separated by Dreams. The script, El Camino, would serve as his feature Directorial debut. Relocating back to San Diego, Bauer worked with the novel's author, driven to raise the funds necessary to get their film into production on an independent scale budget. In 2011, principle photography commenced on El Camino. As production rolled on, budget constraints forced the filmmakers to cut/alter various scenes and rethink the structure of the story. Between 2011 to 2014, additional shooting took place while Bauer reshaped the movie in post-production. Between productions, Bauer continues his passion as a screenwriter, including the script that will serve as his follow up to El Camino (now available on DVD & VOD).
