Corey Frizzell has been a Golden Gloves Boxing Champion, acted in music videos and cast for two roles in the original Stephen King horror movie, Children of The Corn. If that's not interesting enough, he's now, a visual artist in high demand, creating custom portraits, stunning graphics and web design. With royal country music blood running through his veins, Frizzell has come full circle and been named the Artist to the Stars for his artistic collaboration with some of Country Music, Bluegrass and Country Gospel Music's biggest names. Although his portraits hang on the walls of legendary country music stars, hit song writers and places like the KY Music Hall of Fame, Nashville's Sun Records Museum and the world famous Nashville Palace, Corey is available to anyone interested in owning his one of a kind creations. The Frizzell family, most famous for its prominence on the Country Music Charts, is now witnessing the artistic successes of the second generation. Although he has siblings following in the Frizzell music footsteps, who have accepted the challenge of emerging from the giant shadow first cast by the family music patriarch, Lefty Frizzell, Corey chose a different path. A path to create his own shadow. Corey is somewhere in the middle of the six children spanning four decades of Allen Frizzell, former Nashville recording artist and younger brother of the Legendary Lefty Frizzell and Country Star, David Frizzell. Allen began his musical career at the age of nineteen following his older brother's lead, singing Country Music. After years of touring off and on with his brothers, Allen went out on his own and while working the West Coast, opened a show for the late great, Dottie West, who insisted that he move to Nashville and work for her fronting her tour. It was during these impressionable years that Allen would perfect his craft and fall in love with Dottie's daughter, Shelly West. But the Frizzell musical lineage would start 27 years earlier with his Legendary brother, Lefty Frizzell. Despite his namesake, Corey has achieved success in areas other than music. As the nephew of country stars, David and Lefty Frizzell and the son of award winning country gospel artist, Allen Frizzell, he is proud of his musical heritage but early in life, embarked on a path not filled with music but with Boxing and Art. As an accomplished Boxer and Artist, Corey has found outlets for his desire to be creative. This desire seems to course through the veins of the Frizzell family. After ten years in and out of the ring and four championships, including a Lightweight Golden Gloves title, Corey gave up boxing to focus on his art. It wasn't long before he came full circle back to his country music roots, creating custom portraits for country music stars and legends like George Jones, Randy Travis, Willie Nelson, Mark Chesnutt, Brad Paisley, Allen Jackson, Ken Mellons and Gene Watson to name a few. Frizzell's collaboration with country music's finest have garnered the attention of "Country Weekly" "Music City News" "GAC" and country music magazines all over the world, including Germany's "Country Home", Australia's "Moore Country", the Netherlands' "Bulit Country" and France's "Country Music Attitude". Corey would soon be tagged as the "Artist to The Stars" for his many projects with Country, Bluegrass and Gospel stars. Most recently being called on to work with the Keith Whitley Association, the KY Music Hall of Fame, award winning Bluegrass great, Mark Newton, Henry Paul, founder and lead singer of the popular groups, The Outlaws, The Henry Paul Band and Blackhawk and Double E Promotions, one of today's leading artist promotional companies.
