Mithaq Kazimi (pronounced: Misaq) is an Afghan-American director and producer, known for "16 Days in Afghanistan," a recommended documentary on the country by Penguin Books and showcased at the British Museum. As an executive, he brought Mohsen Makhmalbaf's film "The Gardener" to American theaters, leading it to an Oscar consideration. He curated the "Dawn Breakers Int'l Film Festival," nominated by MovieMaker magazine as top "Social Cause Film Festival." Internationally, he was a founding member of ZEE group's WION TV, a global news network and later the Editor-in-Chief of the Indian version of TED Talks. He was selected by the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) for his 360° Virtual Reality work and later produced a web-series in VR with Facebook. A TV series which he co-developed and wrote/directed one episode of during his Master's degree won the Student Emmy.
