Raz was born on September 9, 1982, the youngest of 3 siblings, in Dayton, Ohio. He became fascinated by horror films at an early age, especially when it came to slasher films, and watched every one he could get his hands on. At the age of 12, he began work at various haunted events, getting his first taste of bringing sheer terror to those who crossed his path. Having caught the acting bug by the time he entered High School, he performed in many productions. From "Bye Bye Birdie" to "Little Shop of Horrors", he enjoyed them all. Raz later went to college for television broadcasting, and again for film. During the summer of 2000, Raz acted in his first film, an independent drama called Charlotte Sometimes. Soon after he was approached by another local producer to act in his projects full time. Together they made several short films, trailers, and eventually a feature film. Slashers Gone Wild (Released in 2011) that featured Raz as an earth conscious, slashing psychopath, named Rob The Slasher "dedicated to cleaning up the earth by any means necessary!" With the underground success of his first principle acting role in a horror film, Raz has doubled his efforts in the pursuit of his dreams. He played various characters in a variety of films and was eventually cast as Frank, a revolutionary leader, in the upcoming television show Article 17 With the help of the most amazing crew he's ever worked with, he was recently able to star in, write, and produce his first film, THE MIME. It's both a film and novel series he's excited to put out with his New Production Company House of Lazslo, and his friends at Inner Demon Studios. It's been planned as a trilogy. Raz was also approached in 2014 by his best friend Jayson Zwirner to create the "Raz n Dark Podcast", both an audio podcast and now a video game "let's play" series. They are joined by up and comers Mariah Lynde, and John Percival. Together they've created some of the best comedy the web has to offer, and have interviewed amazing guests like Christopher Moore, Mark Tufo, and Sean Runnette! When Raz isn't acting he enjoys spending time with his friends and family. His hobbies include gaming, reading, singing, writing, and of course watching horror films. He works in a variety of settings as a Licensed Massage Therapist, helping to increase the quality of life in others who have suffered injuries or deal with chronic pain.
