Ace Salisbury is a Video Editor and Film Director based in New York City. Primarily known for his work as Lead Editor on PBS Kids' animated series City Island, he has also directed a series of short films and music videos. Influenced by bizarre animation from the early '90s and industrial urban decay, his fascination with all things surreal, comedic, and unsettling has led him to develop a unique style best described as a hybrid of film and cartoon. In 2010 he won Best Short Film at Zero Film Festival New York for his faux French New Wave film "Headless Nun on a Swing Set that is on Fire." In 2012 he won Best Music Video at the Toronto Independent Film Festival for "Bend Your Back." In 2013 he won an Award of Excellence at the Best Shorts Film Festival in LaJolla, California for his short film "Ctrl Shift." He created and directed "Everything's O.K.," a mixed-media digital series about an environmental apocalypse, which was nominated for Best Series in the 2017 Streamy Awards.
