Paul Bacera was born in the Territory of Guam, to a Filipino family. His mother, Beverly Basa Magbanua is a registered Civil Engineer in the Philippines who decided to be a full time home maker after getting married. His father, Jess Gales Bacera is a Mechanical Engineer, who got involved in plant design and later managed Civil Construction projects and Facilities Management. Anticipating that their children will probably marry and stay in the Mainland US, his parents decided to move to California when Paul was age 16. He discovered his interest in film making when he took the video production class in Simi Valley High School where he met Taylor Johnson and both became friends. As part of the requirement of the course, he submitted sitcom film "Meet Erap" depicting a story of a Filipino youth who is fond of daydreaming. In the story his Landlady nagged him to work to pay for his rent and so he started looking for one. He happened to get a hold of a job fair flyer in Simi Valley, California. Realizing that it would cost tens of thousands of dollars to get there, he decided to get wrapped inside a box and got shipped to California. That is where he got the name for his production company "That's Erap Production". His interest in video production leads him to enroll in Film Television Media in Moorpark College together with his good friend Taylor Johnson. Paul and Taylor embarked in projects together like a commercial ad for Taxslayer.com. They also participated in the Oxnard Student Digi Film Festival 2010 where they garnered 2nd place in PSA/ Commercial Category in their film "Binaca" Paul Bacera has undertaken/received the following achievements: MC's Award of Excellence in 1st semester of 2009 MC's Award of Excellence in 2nd semester of 2009 MC's Award of Excellence in 1st semester of 2010 MC's Award of Excellence in 2nd semester of 2010 He was also the Producer for Improv at Club M in 2009. Paul is a regular contributor In July of 2010 Paul Bacera applied for full-time mission with his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His calling arrived in September 2010, where he was called to the Philippines Naga Mission after his 2 month training at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah.
