Charmaine Barran

Charmaine was born and raised in Canada. Her exotic, original looks can be attributed to her family's heritage, which blends her Trinidadian father with her British/West Indian mother. Growing up, Charmaine wanted to try modeling, but it just wasn't a possibility at that time. With no original intention to become a model, everything changed for Charmaine after her first modeling shoot. Her sister was modeling first, and helped Charmaine get into it by telling one of the photographers she did a shoot with about her sister. After Charmaine did her first modeling shoot, her modeling career began. Charmaine modeled corsets for a catalog, and it was no surprise that Charmaine would appear on the cover of "4 Wheel Ride: The Car Stuff Guide." Since it was luck that got her to where she is, Charmaine has never allowed herself to develop the diva attitude many models are known for. With the short life span of models, she recognizes that her looks are not enough of an attribute. Both her professional attitude towards work and her easy going personality, gets Charmaine in the direction where she would like to get. She would like to be successful in whatever she does. Since her corset catalog and Import Car guide modeling stint, Charmaine has been a featured model on various websites, and was a model on the front page of the shopping section in the Toronto Star. She has also competed in bikini contests and did promotional work Maxim magazine, Coors Light, Corona,Warner Brothers, UMM magazine and many more. Charmaine would like to continue her career in modeling and begin an acting career. Her dream is to play a role in an Inependent movie. This is just the beginning, Charmaine is the next Canadian rising star!
