Marcia MacMillan is a Canadian news anchor for CTV News Channel broadcasting the weekday evening news and was born on March 24, 1970. She started working for CTV News in November 2005. MacMillan started her broadcasting career as a reporter and anchor for MCTV in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and for MCTV in North Bay, Ontario. She then moved on to anchor the news at CKWS in Kingston, Ontario (1998). She worked as a health reporter and anchor for Toronto 1 (2004) and CHCH TV (2003) in Hamilton, Ontario where she covered the SARS outbreak in Toronto. She also reported for The Weather Network for three years from 1999 to 2002. She graduated from Ancaster High School in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada in 1989. She earned both a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Western Ontario and a graduate degree in journalism from Ryerson University's Graduate School of Journalism. She won a RTNDA (Radio Television Digital News Association) award in Canada for coverage of the 2009 Buffalo plane crash. She is from the Ancaster community of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
