Born Jacob Paul Ramos in Cavite City, Philippines, on April 20, 1985, to parents Shirley Ramos and Fernando Gatchalian. Jake and his family lived in Queens, New York ever since he was three years old. At a very young age he showed a passion for art by drawing and sketching. His first time acting was in front of a live audience during a church Christmas concert around the age of eight which was then followed by an Easter play the following year. Although he was never really interested in performing or acting, it wasn't until he was fifteen years old where he won the best actor award at a Youth Camp by portraying The Rock, moniker of then professional wrestler, Dwayne Johnson. The following year he won again, this time for best supporting actor. As the years went by, Jake's interest in acting as well as filmmaking grew. The following year his next film Espionage: Prologue (2012) also became an official selection at the International Film Festival of Manhattan. Jake was an extra in two Hollywood films. The first was The Bourne Legacy (2012), where he played a factory worker. The next film was The Dark Knight Rises (2012) where he played a Gotham City Police Officer. Jake can be seen fighting against a mercenary while Batman, played by actor Christian Bale, walks through the crowd in the last battle sequence. In 2015, Jake Ramos won the Best Director (Short Film) Award at the International Film Festival of Manhattan for the film Last Breath. That same film went to to be official selections at The Online Film Festival, Director's Chair Film Festival, Headline International Film Festival and Urban Action Showcase.
