Bruno was born and raised in Ivrea, Italy. He graduated with a BA in Communication from the University of Turin with a thesis in Semiotic on "Mulholland Drive" by David Lynch. Relocated to Los Angeles in 2008 to follow his passion for films, he was the recipient of the "Brett Ratner Tuition Grant " and attended the One-Year Filmmaking Program at the New York Film Academy / Universal Studios. While at NYFA, he wrote and directed "The Day the Music Died", a 25-minute film inspired by the trailblazing music and tragic end of Buddy Holly, a modern-day depiction whose character seeks success in a contemporary, but surreal Los Angeles. In 2009, he was interviewed as "Next Emerging Director to watch" by Movie-Maker Magazine. His works and collaborations were showcased in major art shows and film festivals around the world such as The Venice Biennale (Italy), in collaboration with artist Vanessa Beecroft, The School of Visual Arts (New York), The Milano Triennale (Italy) in the exhibition "The New Vocabulary of Italian Fashion".
