Digable Planets is an American Hip-Hop recording group formed in 1987 and based in Brooklyn, New York. The trio is comprised of Ishmael Butler ("Butter Fly") originally from Seattle, Craig Irving ("Doodlebug") originally from Philadelphia, and Mary Ann Vierra ("Ladybug Mecca") originally from Silver Spring, Maryland. On February 13, 1993, the group released their debut album "Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space)" on Pendulum/Elektra Records, which produced the group's highest charting single Digable Planets: Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat) (1993). The group released their second and final studio album "Blowout Comb" on October 18, 1994.
