Rich was born in Hartford, Connecticut. He began his young professional career in radio in Connecticut, then in Carlsbad, California. He moved from there into the Voice Over industry in New York City, working on national commercials and industrial presentations. While in NYC, Rich was invited to become a member of the famous "Friar's Club", and had the opportunity to associate with many of the industry "Greats" there. After moving to the South in the early 90s, Rich held the position of the flagship voice of HGTV and the Weather Channel. Following this work, he would eventually come to maintain his in-office studio close to the beaches of South Carolina where he more recently worked as the voice of a series of Discovery Channel documentaries as well as Biography Channel series. Rich enjoyed a great on-going relationship with many of the best studios and ad agencies in the country. Rich was a member of SAG as well as an AFTRA member.
