Alvin Gomez

Alvin Gomez, also known as Alvin Kanon or Alvin Cannon was a commercial model, television and movie actor in the mid 1980s who also appeared in a comeback of sorts in "A Mother's Story" in 2011. He was a model (ramp and commercials) before he was spotted for the soap opera Flordeluna (1983), then was offered a role and co-starred to Flordeluna's rival television show Anna Liza on that same year to which he remained til the show ended in mid-1985 when Julie Vega, the star of Anna Liza died. He also appeared in a sit-com co-starring with Lito Pimentel in "Manok ni San Pedro" in 1984 until he retired from Philippine show business and moved to the United States by mid-1985. He also co-starred in a few movies from 1983-1985 (JR- with Gabby Conccepcion and Rowell Santiago), Chikas (with Jaqueline Jose and Lovely Rivero) before he went under contract with Seiko Films and made 2 movies with that film production, namely "Mga Ibong Pipit" (1985) and Isang Platitong Mani (1985). Thereafter, he moved to the United States and didn't appear in Philippine show business until 2011 when he co-starred in "A Mother's Story.
