Janicke Askevold

Janicke Askevold began her artistic formation as a model at age nineteen, working across fashion centres including Milan, New York, London, Paris and Los Angeles. She later moved to Paris to train in theatre, attending a school focused on acting, writing and directing. Early in her acting career she took roles in French and international cinema. Askevold directed short work before releasing her first feature film, Together Alone. She is now in post-production on Solomamma, her second feature, a co-production involving Norway, Latvia and Lithuania. Her working methods include alternating between acting and directing, integrating cross-cultural experience from modelling and performance training, developing projects through writing and directing responsibility, and collaborating with international production partners.
