Mario Duane was born in Highland Park mi, to Terence Turner and Gwendolyn Woodard. He and his identical twin brother Marlon, grew up in a home filled with music and entertainment. His mother and two aunts had a singing group called "The Portrait Three". Mario watched his mom rehearse in his grandmothers basement for years. That sparked Mario's love for music. He started singing in the church and high school choirs as a young man. Mario was selected to sing in the Michigan State high-school honors choir directed by Eph Ehly, where he sang in English, Latin, Spanish and German. Soon after high-school, Mario starting pursuing his own singing career. He was in a singing group called "Silhouette" to start things off. The group was formed at Ferris State University, where Mario was studying to be a biology teacher. The group had some local success, but broke up and Mario went solo. Mario's first album "Simply Mario" got him recognized locally. That recognition grew into stage plays. Mario got his start when he was casted by Yolanda Starks to be in the national stage play by Elynn Harris "Not a day goes by". Mario had the opportunity to show his acting skills as well as his singing ability and things took off from there. Mario got his first lead role in the stage play by TJ Hemphill "The Return of Mr Scrooge" where he played Scrooges Nephew. He learned so much from the director TJ and they went on to do many more national shows together. Mario also modeled men's suits for the Detroit designer Montee Holland, "The Tayion Collection". He traveled all over the country with the designer, including New York fashion week. Mario continued his appearances in plays, until he got his first film opportunity in the movie "Note To Self". Mario had his first taste of filming in Los Angeles CA, working with Tri Destined films opened his eyes to what the business was all about. Mario is a humble God fearing man, who loves his family, and the future is bright for him. He has a son named Mario Duane and a daughter named Silver Nevaeh.
