Forrest Naylor's pathway into the arts began in Amsterdam where he lived for seven years, acting, writing and directing for the theatre, frequently with the Amsterdam Chamber Theatre, which took him all over Europe and the Middle East performing in various stage productions. The first play he penned, Playing With Shakespeare, received the honor of representing the Netherlands at the acclaimed Cairo International Theatre Festival. While in Egypt Forrest realized that his love for writing superseded his desire to act and shortly thereafter moved back to the United States to pursue writing and directing. Within a year after returning, Forrest wrote, directed and produced his second play, Cusp, which he staged in San Francisco at the Exit Theatre. Since then Forrest has focused more on writing feature screenplays and TV pilots, placing in the finals and semi-finals of several screenplay competitions and most recently winning the 2017 ScreenCraft Nicaragua Writer's Retreat screenplay competition, featuring mentorship by Jen Grisante. In addition to his feature screenplays and TV pilot, Forrest has written, directed and produced three short films: Calla Lily, Favorite Color Pink and Hallelujah. Forrest's most recent project is a multi-award winning web series titled Sundays, streaming online.
