Chintan Sarda is a Mumbai based writer/director who has co-written an under production show for Amazon Prime, which is produced by Excel entertainment in the supernatural/science fiction space. He is closely working with the show runner Gaurav Desai and Producer Karan Anshuman as a part of the writing team. He recently worked as Second unit director on a web series 'Inspector Avinash' featuring Randeep Hooda. The series is produced by Jio studios. He is also developing commissioned web shows in the space of crime heist and fantasy/comedy. Chintan has recently directed Naseeruddin Shah and Rasika Dugal in the short film 'The Broken Table' that he has co-written. He has also directed Jackie Shroff in a short film ~ Shunyata which released to an overwhelming audience response and great reviews from Film companion, ScoopWhoop and Indian Express. It won several awards globally including grand jury prize at an Oscar qualifying festival in Los Angeles. Both these films have released on Royal Stag Large short films. Shunyata is also playing on Amazon prime mini TV, Lionsgate play, Airtel Stream, ShortsTV and YouTube. Chintan has directed commercials for brands like IKEA, fiction show for Star Bharat and corporate films for companies like Taj hotels. His feature script in the crime comedy space, has Anurag Kashyap on board as creative producer. He has worked as Assistant director on TV commercials and to feature filmmakers like Farhan Akhtar (Don 2), Abhishek Sharma (Tere Bin Laden 2 & The Shaukeens) and Mohit Suri (Raaz 2). He was on the jury at the Jagran Film festival 2018 and was the Associate festival director for an LA based film festival, which qualifies short films for the Oscars. He has also worked as Creative Producer for Boundless Media and head of content acquisition for India for a UK based ShortsTV. Chintan used to be an Investment banker. He used to work with UBS in London before he decided to quit that and plunge into filmmaking.
