Fabiana Charlo is an Uruguayan film and theater actress. She was born and raised in Montevideo. When she was in high school (17 years old) she decided to dedicate herself to art, acting and singing. Between 1994 and 1996 she studied at the Integral School of Performing Arts. Between 1998 and 2004 she studied at Margarita Xirgu Municipal School of Dramatic Art (EMAD). From her youth to the present she has carried out numerous innovative workshops and acting techniques. From 1996 to date she has played different roles in different plays, dedicating more than 25 years to acting. She has also participated in international festivals. She won one of the most prestigioso national awards "Florencio Sánchez" in 2013 for her work as a director and writer in Pueblo Vampiro. She was awarded with the same price in 2018, as best comedy actress. In addition, she was nominated as Woman of the Year in 2019 for her acting performance. She has participated in more than 10 short films and video clips, as well as in two feature films of international prestige.
