Writer, Director and Producer, Mark Owen, was born in Bromley, London. Surrounded by a multitude of films at his disposal, Owen was blessed with a range of movies from the classics of Disney to the mainstream masterpieces of Spielberg and much in world cinema. In 2004 he decided to follow a career in filmmaking, attending the MET Film School in Ealing Studios in its inaugural year. Having taught himself most aspects of film thereafter, Owen embarked on a making a series of short films over the subsequent years and founded production company Belloq Productions in 2007, fully establishing it in 2011. Owen was nominated for "Best Director" for short film "Fade" in 2016, followed, most recently, by multiple ongoing awards for science fiction short, "Rueful Warrior" in 2019, winning "Best Producer" at the Show Low Film Festival along with a "Gold Remi Award" in 2020 at the WorldFest Houston and "Best Director" nomination and "Best Sci-Fi" at multiple festivals. He continues to receive multiple nominations and awards from festivals around the world for his latest work "Stay With Me". Owen has a wealth of experience writing, producing and directing shorts, a web-series/TV show firmly in the works and his first feature is around the corner. Strong with storytelling and working with actors, Owen also spearheads the "Why Should I?" anti-sexism campaign.
