Steve R. Johnson was born on June 24, 1983 in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Parkway Gamma High School majoring in Creative writing. Steve began his acting journey at the prestigious Freedom Theater. His passion and natural talent caught the eye of director Walter Dallas who gave Steve his first shot in the 2007 Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera production of Porgy and Bess. Steve continued to perform in other stage productions such as Don't Play Yourself, and Doin' it After Dark. Wanting to sharpen his acting prowess, Steve attended classes at Mike Lemon Casting for TV and film taught by Donna Marrazzo. He went on to star in several Sundance featured films like Cost of a Soul and Who Ever Told You it Was OK to Dream, among other independent films. Steve also starred, wrote and produced the short-lived skit comedy show Remixeed. His comedic talent on that project landed him a position writing for a pilot of The Jeremiah Trotter Show.
