Braden Jennings, a member of the Directors Guild of Canada, was born as Braden Jeffery Jennings in Fredricton, New Brunswick. He is known for his work on Watchmen (2009), Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011) and This Means War (2012) as well as the Casey Afflect feature film Light of My Life (2019) He started making films with his friends growing up as a young boy and was fascinated by the idea of the film industry although not having any access to it he turned to theatre. To fuel his passion, his parents took him to off broadway shows in Toronto as well as many live tapings of CBC shows at their studio on Front Street Toronto. At age 13, he became a television reporter on two hit shows in the tri-city area Rogers First Local and Plugged-In. Rating numbers for these shows where never confirmed but his mother says at least her and three of her friends would watch each week. He then moved on to university in Toronto to study business and scored well on his second year LSATs. Following university he went to surf a year in Fiji, his idea of paradise. Once, in Fiji, he was pulled of the beach by the stunt coordinator to do stunts for a Mila Kunis' film Boot Camp. This film never made it to theatre and had a very limited release on DVD. Some of the Canadian actors on the film talked him into moving to Vancouver to continue with film. Braden worked his way up the Director's Guild of Canada ladder to his current position of unit manager. He was nominated in 2019 for Outstanding Locations in a Period Television Series for his work on amazing work on the TV show The Man in High Castle however lost to Chernobyl from HBO. He continues to push the concepts and ideas of what can be filmed and how it can be filmed using a mixture of new and old locations throughout Canada and the world.
