Patrick Jonsson is a film composer living and working in London. In 2016 he composed the score for the Academy Award-winning 'The White Helmets', which was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Score. He previously collaborated with the director Orlando von Einsiedel in 2014 for Academy Award and BAFTA-nominated feature documentary 'Virunga', executive produced by Leonardo Di Caprio. The film was nominated for over 40 international awards and Patrick's score was voted one of the best film scores of 2014. Soon afterwards Patrick composed the score for documentary 'Frame by Frame', directed by Alexandria Bombach and Mo Scarpelli, which premiered at SXSW, for which Patrick was nominated for 'Best Documentary Score' at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2015. During 2016, Patrick also scored 'Dog Days', a Chinese drama by American director Jordan Schiele which was developed as part of the Cannes Cinefondation Residence and premiered at the Berlin Film Festival 2016 in the Panorama line up. He also scored 'Moon Shot' a web series about the Google Lunar XPrize, produced by JJ Abrams/ Bad Robot. Patrick composed the score for BBC Three five-part series, 'Five by Five' produced by Idris Elba and most recently he scored for 'On Her Shoulders', directed by Alexandria Bombach, which will be premiering at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Alongside his own composition work, Patrick has assisted composers on a number of major feature films including 'Thor', 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' and 'Brave'.
