Comedian Paul D'Angelo is a former Essex County (MA) assistant district attorney and criminal-defense trial attorney who simultaneously became one of the country's top stand-up comics. Besides headlining A-List comedy clubs for years, Paul has also opened for over sixty internationally known recording acts including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones, Tony Bennett, The Beach Boys, Chicago, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The Doobie Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lyle Lovett, George Carlin and Dennis Miller, and has performed in famed entertainment venues ranging from the legendary Friar's Club and the main ballroom of New York City's Waldorf Astoria, to the main showroom at Harrah's Casino and Caesar's Palace. He has entertained hundreds of prominent corporate clients throughout the country including the Ford Motor Co., Sony Music Corp., Hewlett-Packard Corp., Nike-Bauer International, Fidelity Investments, Bike Athletic Corp., CVS/Caremark Inc., American Airlines, Delta Airlines, General Electric, the American Bar Association, Goldman-Sachs, United Parcel Service (UPS), Edward Jones Investments, and the Burger King Corp. Paul co-starred in the popular stand-up comedy movie 'The Godfathers of Comedy' on Showtime and was the producer/director/co-star of 'A Fine Mess,' which was featured at the prestigious New York International Independent Film Festival. His acclaimed debut book, 'Stories I Tell,' was a Gold Medal winner of the 2015 eLit Book Awards that recognizes publishing excellence; was named a finalist in the 2015 International Book Awards; earned Honorable Mention in the 2015 New York Book Festival; and was voted a Best of Los Angeles Award as the 'Best Comedy Book of 2016.' The book's sequel, 'More Stories to Tell,' was also a Gold Medal winner of the 2016 eLit Awards and was voted a finalist in the 2016 International Book Awards.
