Adam Kirkey is an award-winning Canadian writer, director, and producer. After graduating from the Toronto Film School, Adam went on to direct his first feature film, 'A Case of Deceit', an independent action piece operating with a small budget of $20,000. The film was distributed worldwide, with E-ONe Entertainment handling the domestic distribution. Adam has gone on to film, direct, and produce content for a children's educational online television show, an online sports betting show, and music videos for a variety of artists. He worked as an editor for the popular Epic Meal Time online series, eventually producing the newest version of Epic Meal's food travel show. Adam also worked with Epic Meal Time to film and produce a pilot entitled "e-lebrity', which was picked up by the CBC. Since his first feature film, Adam has also written and directed a number of short films that have toured festival circuits and garnered a few awards. In 2017 Adam completed his second independent feature film, 'Sir John A. and the Curse of the Anti-Quenched', a comedy based on his award-winning short of the same name. The film features notable Canadian stars such as Spencer Rice ('Spenny' from Kenny vs Spenny), Paul Spence ('The Deaner' from FUBAR), and the late John Dunsworth ('Mr. Lahey' from The Trailer Park Boys). Filmed in Kingston, the comedy features local talent and premiered at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival (KCFF) in 2018. Adam has also filmed and edited extensive in-depth documentary projects for corporate organizations, such as the JNFOttawa (Jewish National Fund of Ottawa) and the Children's Aid Society. Involving highly sensitive subject matter, these documentaries have both profiled children seeking adoption and highlighted case work strategies and success stories. These projects have provided Adam with incredibly valuable skills in understanding complex subject matter and how to apply this knowledge in creating an accurate and engaging final product. These documentaries have screened at large conferences for social workers across the world. When he's not working on independent films, documentary projects, and music videos, Adam is providing Ottawa and Kingston realtors with cinematic virtual tours and photography services. Adam is passionate about cooking, music, and engaging with other independent filmmakers on his podcast, Raiders of the Lost Commentary.
