Gregor Bozic was born in Nova Gorica, Yugoslavia. He is a director and cinematographer, known for Stories from the Chestnut Woods (2019) and Playing Men (2017). He studied film & cinematography at the Agrft Ljubljana and DFFB Berlin, as well as contemporary visual arts at the Le Fresnoy in Lille. His work has been presented in numerous important film festivals, such as the Toronto IFF, Locarno IFF, Camerimage IFF, Goa IFF, FID Marseille, The museum of moving image NY, Jerusalem IFF, Istanbul IFF, Mostra Sao Paolo, IFF Rotterdam, Shanghai IFF, Tallinn black nights IFF, Ghent IFF, Sarajevo IFF, etc. Since 2008 he is also conducting a vast research on old and endemic Mediterranean fruit varieties and the stories connected with them.
