Brian is a musician of many traits originally from Toronto, Canada and now currently (Sept. 2012) residing in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a touring guitar player and multi-instrumentalist (including mandolin, Dobro and lap steel). While in Toronto he worked as assistant engineer behind the glass at the eclectic Kuhl Muzic studio. When he is not performing or recording he can be found scoring music for film and television. Brian writes and performs with the international jazz sextet Tunnel Six. The group was created at the Banff International Workshop for Creative Music in the spring of 2009. Tunnel Six has been fortunate enough to have received many grants from The Canada Council of the Arts as well as the Regional Arts and Culture Council. Since the band's inception they have toured across Canada and the US several times and released their debut record 'Lake Superior' on OA2 Records. 'Lake Superior' was well received by radio stations and critics across the globe from Canada, US, and Autstralia. The group is excited to be working on their next live album, scheduled for release in 2013. As an engineer Brian recorded for producer/songwriter Adrian Ellis (Daily Planet/Late July), up-and-comers Committed to Rhyme, as well a variety of other local Toronto acts. As a film composer he wrote "additional music" for seasons 3 and 4 of the animated series By The Rapids which airs across Canada on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN). He has written music for the Canadian Film Centre's Through The Lens series as well as many animated shorts that were featured internationally at various festivals. In 2011 Brian was co-organizer of the Screen Composer's Guild of Canada's annual Match-Up Program in which he produced the large orchestral recording session held at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). His compositions have been recorded by the Royal Conservatory Orchestra at CBC's Glenn Gould Performance Hall. Brian has been fortunate enough to work along side veteran film composers Donald Quan (Relic Hunter) and Rob Carli (Murdoch Mysteries). Brian studied jazz guitar at the University of Toronto. While building and developing his chops he began to perform in many pop/rock groups. He co-founded the energetic rock band The Little Black Dress which released their debut album "Spotlight" in the spring of 2012. He also shared his time performing with Juno winning hip hop artist Shad, singer/songwriters Dani Jean & Kevin Myles Wilson as well as a friendly collaboration of northern country goodness simply titled Cletus.
