Thibul Nettle also known by his stage name Stinga T, is an Australian actor and rapper. He was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1982 than at the age of 9 years old the family moved to Adelaide, South Australia where he was raised. He is an Aboriginal Australian of the Yamatji and Bibulman peoples with a background of Maori, Native American, Italian and Irish within his bloodline. He has an extensive range of experience in performing on stage as a solo MC and with former group TDB and also an actor for Film & theatre productions. His solo songwriting is very lyrical where he writes in a mixture of moods from heartfelt lyrics, sometimes dark themes to hard-hitting street tracks. He is one of the best all-around performers in the entertainment industry taking the nation by storm labelled as the next big thing he strives to achieve nothing but the best pushing himself every day to the limits to perfect his craft and be the best entertainer he can be. Music and film was not always his number one love as a child he grew up playing Aussie Rules Football all through school he was involved in sports from Basketball, Cricket, Rugby, and Boxing and even enjoyed his athletics with the 100-metre sprint being his main event. But there was one sport you just could not drag him away from one sport which had his total love and dedication and that was Aussie Rules Football. He started playing Aussie Rules Football at the age of 5 years old with younger brother Yarba Nettle in his hometown of Perth, Western Australia. The Family moved away from Perth in 1991 to start a new life in Adelaide, South Australia he was 9 years of age at the time they moved, it was there at Paralowie R-12 school which was a school that was both primary and high school which would later be the place that connected him with his love of music and film. Growing up he was a natural athlete every sport he played he was just naturally very good at it even if he didn't know how to play the sport at first he would somehow turn out better than the person teaching him how to play the game. He was a fast learner a perfectionist and when it came to Aussie Rules Footy he was one of the best going around at the time throughout high school some even thought he would go on to play AFL at the highest level, he played for his beloved Salisbury North Hawks all through his teenage years then winning such awards like best and fairest 3 times which was the highest award you could receive with in the club going on to play at Port Adelaide Magpies and Central District Bulldogs under 17 teams. Stinga's dedication was on point when his friends would go out and party he would be at home perfecting his craft didn't drink didn't smoke or do any drugs didn't even do any criminal activity as a teenager for stinga he wanted a whole lot more out of his life he didn't want to be like some of his mates doing the wrong things. Stinga was often describe as having tunnel vision while he was succeeding at sport his education was going downhill, not giving the same attention to his studies that he did with his sport. Teachers would often be on his back all the time about it , he started to become distractive not going to class, shouting at teachers messing around with his mates in class even got to the point where he almost got kicked out of his high school. At that point you didn't need to tell him twice he knew being thrown out of his school he would have to start all over again at another school, from that point he choose to knuckle down and finish high school. In 1997 he saw his younger cousin Michael Collard performing a hip-hop song to the Japanese exchange students from that moment he thought to himself wow this would be an awesome thing to be able to do. So he started learning how to write and rap and sing songs, for two years on and off he even did vocals lessons with mentor Ken Elliot attending the sessions every Monday along his his brother Yarba and cousin Michael when the singing lessons stopped due to Ken's workload increasing. Meanwhile at high school he had just been placed into the Drama course at first he chose this subject because all his mates where in it cause it was a subject that pretty much every one could bludge at the entire lesson. It was there stinga had to do a Romeo and Juliet play while his mates where not interested he took it serious and had a good when he receive high marks the teacher suggested that he did drama the following year. So he did and it was there he met his drama teacher Ms Tierny- Smith and his love for acting began. While receiving high marks in Drama and his involvement with music his teacher suggested that maybe he sit down and really think about pursuing acting and music as a career and not football because he was really good at music and acting and the two would fit as one later in life. In 1999 he did the impossible and shocked everyone by leaving football and starting a hip-hop group called "West Side Boyz" with his younger brother Yarba and cousin Michael Collard one thing he was missing though and that was a stage name so he decide to call himself "Stinga T" meaning coming from him being a Scorpio and his last name which is Nettle like the plant Stinging Nettles, and his first name Thibul in which he took the first letter from to make up the T. The group lasted for 6 years on and off but with life-changing and younger brotha Yarba welcoming his first child he thought it was best to focus on being a father so he parted ways in 2006. In 2007 Stinga and his cousin wanted to still do hip hop so there form another group which they called it TDB which stands for Tha Deadly Boyz. TDB went on to have a lot of success releasing two albums, performing countless shows around the country as well as winning several awards such as Finalist in the N2AR comp which was a national competition, two Aboriginal Bump hip hop / rnb awards for Best Album and Best Music video 2 years straight. It was here in TDB where Stinga was able to gain a lot of credit/experience and respect for being an entertainer but it was also here in this group he felt he wasn't fulfilling his full potential for missed opportunities and failing to be signed to a label the pressure finally got to him and his cousin Michael Collard aka Big Sexy choosing in early 2012 to part ways and pursue solo careers. Stinga was able to gain a lot of credit as a solo artist due to his solo songwriting and recording attracting a lot of fans his way while being in TDB. Now as he takes his journey as a solo recording artist he already feels like now he can offer more and give 100 percent effort and make his own decisions without waiting on another member. Well a lot of his success came with him being in hip-hop group TDB he now would like to move on and establish his name as a solo artist and start making his own achievement away from the group. So far he's off to a good start recording and releasing his debut album "Two-Face" independently with I-tunes and being nominated as a finalist at the 2012 Music Oz Awards for "Best Urban Artist'. He has also been able to keep up with his acting playing lead roles in several feature films such as "The Counter Part" "49" and "Alien Sons" and plenty more another film to come in the near feature he can also has modelling on his sites with interested parties interested. Stinga T plans to take his music overseas as he feels there in countries such as USA, UK, he would have the best opportunity to blossom and release his true talents there. At Current, he's receiving high rotation on radio in the US on independent radio and feels if he can just get a recording contract over there things will start to roll. In Australia, he feels like he isn't getting the credit he is due although times are in fact changing and it may very well be the time of "Stinga T" one thing for sure he won't stop entertaining until he is in the ground 6 feet deep and the world knows his name.
