Peter Consistently Falconer is a sound artist, composer and musician based in the UK. Born in Hartlepool, Co. Durham, he now lives in Surrey, and is working towards a PhD in Music Composition at the University of Southampton. He curates an online archive of sounds and music documenting the history of a mysteriously abandoned County Durham seaside resort called Seaton Snook. The archive covers the area's history as a tourist destination, a centre of industry, and a forgotten community of sea-coalers and houseboat dwellers, from its establishment in medieval times to its sinister vanishing in the late 1960s. Visit the archive in progress at seatonsnook. Peter is the house composer for Proxima Dance Company, and previous compositions have been performed in shows by by choreographers Anna Guzak, Rhiannon Bromley and Agata Olszewska. Film soundtracks include works by Videorats, Oli Mason, and Timothy Gaer. Previous projects have included several albums as lyricist and vocalist of acclaimed Prog Rock band Drifting Sun. When not making musical noises, he is a voiceover artist and writer.
