JuanMa Suárez was born in Coria del Río (Sevilla) in 1974. Self taught inherently, He graduated in Audiovisual Media Infographics and Publicity. His wide experience in these areas, in spite of his youth, are the basis of the trust that producers have deposited in he. He was commissioned to directed many animated features, among which would highlight Misión en Mocland: Una aventura superespecial (2008) for being the first film produced in 3D in Andalucia. Over the past ten years, he has combined this task with PizzelStudios Management, thereby directing projects for TV: the hit animated series such as Mocland (2005), Andaluna y Samir (2007), Miscelánea (2009) y Abby Careful (2010), some of them internationally acclaimed. Are also numerous his works on advertising for big brands such as McCann Erickson, Mapfre, Cajasol, Junta de Andalucía, Canal sur, Bassat Ogilvy, Lipasam, Arena media, among others. He was commissioned by TheTerrat to directed the piece which presented the animations 2011 awards in the 25th edition of the Goya Awards ceremony, working with Spain's most renowned actors such as Santiago Segura, Penélope Cruz and Andreu Buenafuente, as well internationally acclaimed. His work -as a animation director- 30 años de oscuridad (2011) has been distinguished with many national awards: 2012, nominated Best Documentary Film Goya Academy Awards, Spain 2013, won Best Documentary Film ASECAN Awards, Spain 2013, won Best Mechanical Artist Contribution ASECAN "Teo Escamilla", Spain It has been presented at numerous Festivals, both with national and International recognition: Toulouse Spanish Festival, San Sebastián International Film Festival ("made in spain" projected section), DMZ -Docs Korean International Documentary Festival-, Docs DF -México International Documentary Film Festival-, Horizontes Film o Marsella Spanish Film Festival, among others. Also projected in IDFA International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam and Europe Film Festival of Sevilla His last project- as a director- Alfred & Anna (2012), which recently has been nominated Best Animated Short Film in Goya Academy Awards and 17th February could win it. Through this work, Juanma Suarez commissioned to compose the original soundtrack to Roque Baños. Andreu Buenafuente and Pastora Soler have also collaborated in this short film. Last January was premiered in Laemmle Playhouse 7 Los Angeles (CA). Currently, it will begin the tour by different international Festivals.
