Nare Mkrtchyan

Naré Mkrtchyan is an Oscar shortlisted director and producer. Born in Armenia and raised in Los Angeles, Naré Mkrtchyan combines both: the American filmmaking technique and the international, independent spirit. Her films have screened in festivals worldwide. Nare chooses to use the tool of cinema as means to alchemize pain into healing rather than entertainment purposes only. Her passion is telling unique human stories that connect people and move beyond the boundaries of nationality, gender, and religion. She has projects that filmed all over the world including Japan, Mexico, Armenia, Turkey, US, France, etc. For years she was an Executive Producer and Director at Hallmark Movies Now and produced for such platforms as Netflix. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from the prestigious University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
