Award-winning New Orleans stage actor and television personality best known as "Professor Carl Nivale" who appears each Mardi Gras season on WWL-TV 4. On film best known as one of the subjects of the documentary "30 Days in the Bowl." He has enjoyed roles in "Final Witness", "American Horror Story: Coven" (as an uncredited featured dancer,) and "Scream Queens". He made his career originating roles in the New Orleans premiere productions of "Grand Hotel" (Baron), "Falsettos" (Whizzer), "Chess" (Freddie), "The Frogs" (Pluto), the American premiere of "Scandalous!" (John Galsworthy), as well as his own productions. He is featured in two books about New Orleans theatre history, "The Soul of the City: Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre" by Dr. Rebecca Hale, and the biography of legendary New Orleans director Stocker Fontelieu by Michael Cahill. For two years he hosted his own modern classical music program, "The Sunday Classics" on WWNO pubic radio, and has appeared in numerous local commercials. He can be heard on the original concept cast recording of "Nine Lives" as well as the first recorded performance playing the roles of Beth/Bob and the 82nd Airborne Commander alongside Michael Cerveris and Harry Shearer. He can also be heard on a rare cast recording of original songs from the New Orleans based company Porta-Puppet Players.
