College: Virginia Tech / Hometown: York, PA / DOB: October 3, 1952 A native of Paterson, NJ, Arians grew up in York, PA where he met his wife, Christine. The couple has two children - son, Jake, and daughter, Kristi Anne - as well as a granddaughter, Presley. Bruce was a collegiate quarterback at Virginia Tech (1972-74) and was voted MVP his senior year. He finished his college career with 1,270 yards, six touchdowns and eight interceptions in addition to rushing for 539 yards and 14 touchdowns. Arians set a school single-season record for rushing TDs by a QB with 11 in 1974, a mark that was tied by 2014 Cardinals draft pick Logan Thomas in 2009. Bruce Arians was named the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals on January 17, 2013. After earning NFL Coach of the Year honors for the second time (2012 with Indianapolis) in three years, Arians received a contract extension in February of 2015 that will keep him with the team through the 2018 season.
